Support Palm Bay Magnet High School Robotics Team

We are raising money to send Josh Furber, Josh Santa Croce, Cody Franklin and Jaedon Hight to the Vex Robotics World Competition in Dallas, Tx (where they will compete against approx. 50 other counties), as well as to the TSA (Technology Student Association) National Competition in Louisville, KY. These week-long competitions entail flights, hotels, transportation, food, etc. These 4 smart, talented young men are seniors from Palm Bay Magnet High School, located in east central Florida. Through a series of regional and state robotics competitions, the Palm Bay Piratechs earned their spot to compete in the Vex World Competition, as well as TSA Nationals!!!!

Each year, in late spring, Vex Robotics unveils their new yearly challenge (see the You Tube video below to learn about this year's challenge). The next step was to design, build and code a robot, able to complete the challenge. These kids have worked hard, beginning this last summer, working on their robot. Not only do they have to compete in the challenge, but they are also judged on the notebook they keep, which explains their design and build process, as well as an interview, where all the team members explain their contributions, as well as their process and strategy.

Unlike many athletic programs, there is no money available to help pay for the expenses involved in sending these boys to these competitions. Being from Florida's Space Coast, we are located in the heart of the tech corridor, so these boys approached many of the tech companies in our area, seeking sponsorship. They were repeatedly told money was not in their budget or they have already allotted their sponsorships for the year.

Please help these young men get to these competitions. Even if you can spare a few dollars, every little bit helps!!!!
