Help Save Paisley’s Life

Paisley urgently needs life-saving spinal surgery. Her spine is so severely deformed that it is pressing against her lung, making it difficult for her to breathe—especially when she lays down. Doctors have warned us that without this surgery, her pain will worsen, her organs could be damaged, and she will not be able to live a full life.

Paisley’s Story

Our sweet girl, Paisley, was born on October 10, 2014, with a rare condition called severe infantile scoliosis—affecting only 1 in 10,000 babies. By the age of four, she had already endured four surgeries, spent time in a full body cast, and wore a specially designed brace to support her growing body.

Her doctors told us she would eventually need a major reconstructive surgery once she matured. At her most recent appointment, we were told that her pelvic bones are now strong enough, meaning the time is here.

Unfortunately, Paisley’s condition has worsened. Her curved spine is pressing on her lung, causing breathing difficulties and daily pain. Doctors have also warned us of possible damage to her other organs if we delay.

Why We Need Help

We spent years paying for insurance, believing it would cover this surgery. Despite asking specifically about Paisley’s case, we later found out that because her condition is “pre-existing,” the policy covers nothing.

The hospital will not even schedule her surgery until we can pay 50% of the cost upfront: $105,247.25. Without this surgery, Paisley will not survive. With it, her spine can be rebuilt and straightened, giving her the chance to grow, breathe easier, and live as normal a life as possible.

Who Paisley Is

Paisley is a bright, kind, and loving 10-year-old who adores animals, school, and being with people. She dreams of becoming a horseback rider one day. After her doctor told her she’d grow taller while she sleeps during surgery, she told me with a big smile:

“Mommy, I can’t wait to have this surgery—I’ll be as tall as Grandma!”

Even in pain, she holds onto hope, and we want nothing more than to help her achieve her dreams.
