I’m Cassie, my husband’s name is Brandon. Our daughter Paisley had the flu in January, she is currently in a trial for PANS treatment.

PANS stands for Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome. It's a clinical diagnosis characterized by sudden onset (almost overnight) of severe neuropsychiatric symptoms, often accompanied by OCD and restricted food intake. followed by an infection/inflammation.

Her official diagnosis came after:

Various blood tests

Neurologist

Psychiatrist

Psychologist

Neuroimmunologist

Her specific symptoms include:

Low appetite

Psychosis

Oppositional defiance disorder

Severe Insomnia

Severe anxiety, including separation

Episodes of rage, including property destruction

Self harm

Behavioral regression

Severe panic attacks

Depression

Irritability

Brain fog

Severe meltdowns/tantrums

Urinary frequency

Joint Pain

Her official diagnosis was March 4th and we have had little success in symptom management this far, our normal lives have been greatly affected as we are also not able to sleep or even think correctly.

We have exhausted our options, and are asking for help through this very difficult time. WE WANT OUR GIRL BACK! She has been our number one priority, and her symptoms have been so severe we have often had to send our youngest to grandmas for days at a time so she doesn’t have to experience the trauma and sleepless nights at home.

We are trying IVIG currently and are hoping for the best.
