Hi Everyone,

My name is Bekah Parzych, I’m creating this during one of the most emotional and challenging times in our lives. Our brave 3-year-old daughter, Paisley Rae Parzych, just underwent her third open heart surgery (The Fontan) on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

Paisley was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS)—a severe and rare congenital heart defect where the left side of the heart is critically underdeveloped. From the moment she was born, she has been fighting for her life. HLHS requires a series of three complex open-heart surgeries in early childhood to reroute blood flow and help the heart function.

From the very beginning, she’s been a fighter.

At just 3 weeks old, Paisley had her first open heart surgery (The Norwood).

At 4 months old, she endured her second open heart surgery (The Glenn).

And now, at 3 years old, she has braved her third surgery in the HLHS treatment series (The Fontan).

This most recent surgery marked the third and final planned stage of her treatment. We are so thankful to say it went well. However, the financial strain from this journey has become overwhelming.

We are a one-income household. I stay home to care for Paisley full-time attending appointments, managing her medications, and being by her side every step of the way. Dad works full-time to provide for our family, but even with all his hard work, the expenses are a lot to carry on his own.

Between three major surgeries, extended hospital stays, ongoing medications, and the travel required for her care, the bills have added up.
