Earlier this week our dear friend Paige suffered a stroke and was immediately taken for emergent care to clear the clot which caused it. She is currently in the ICU and starting her journey to what we hope will be a full recovery, however the road in front of her could be long.
A stroke is never something we expect to happen, but especially not to someone as young and otherwise healthy as Paige, who is a 27 year old single mother of two boys ages 2 and 9 months. Paige works full time as a Respiratory Therapist at UK Hospital and clocks overtime regularly to make ends meet and provide her boys with the best life she possibly can. She has touched the lives of hundreds of people that she has taken care of over her many years in healthcare, and is one of the most kind and compassionate people we have ever known.
If you are able, please donate to help cover the cost of bills and expenses while Paige is in the hospital and continues to recover in rehab after she is discharged. Donations will go directly toward household expenses and supporting her boys while she is in recovery and unable to work. Anything helps and everything is so, so appreciated by Paige, her boys, and those of us lifting her up at this difficult time.
