Our sweet friend, Paige Merrill, was diagnosed with ALS in January of 2026. The news has been incredibly difficult for her and everyone who cares about her. Paige has always been the person who lights up a room with her smile and sense of humor, and she’s the first to offer help to anyone in need.

Paige has dedicated her life to helping care for patients and their families during their own medical journey. She has been a source of encouragement to many during her 25-year (plus) career as an Occupational Therapist at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital taking care of the most fragile NICU and Cardiac infants. Now, she’s facing a new and challenging journey, and it’s our turn to support her.

Paige and her family will need support with ongoing medical care to maintain her quality of life. One of her greatest wishes is to remain at home with her family and dog, surrounded by the beauty of her backyard, her dock, and her favorite screened-in porch. This brings her peace and joy. With the right renovations and accessibility updates, we can help make that possible. The funds raised will go toward medical expenses and making her home a safe, comfortable place where she can continue to enjoy the things she loves the most.
