Support PADOS to get shows back on the stage!

PADOS (Prestwich Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society) is Prestwich's community theatre. Our junior, youth and adult members have entertained local audiences for over one hundred years! We want that to continue for another hundred.
2020 has been tough for the arts. We have had a season without shows and we hope our wonderful community will help us to get PADOS back up and running in 2021.
Devastatingly, from a financial point of view, is that there will be no 2020 pantomime at PADOS. Panto normally makes well over £10,000 per year for PADOS and is our main source of revenue. It is a key part of Christmas for many North Manchester families.
Lockdown provided us with two large incidents to deal with during the summer and autumn. A large tree at the edge of the property fell on the garages that store our scenery and props. We will therefore need to buy and build new sets when we are able to reopen.
Then the rains of autumn caused our flat roof to flood, with a large leak warping our stage floor, destroying costumes, and leaving much of the wall space in need of repair. We need to bring the building back to a useable condition but also want to make improvements, so that our auditorium, dressing room and bar areas are fantastic spaces to perform in, visit and enjoy.
Please help us restore our beautiful theatre and be able to prepare more fabulous shows for our audiences to enjoy. We are grateful for any donation, whether small or large.
