Update: Padme has since needed another two stomach surgeries due to obstructions and is currently still in and out of hospital recovering from these procedures. 

Her bill has now reached $60,000 and she'll need a lot more support over the coming weeks. I know many may not be in a place to donate and that is more than okay, but for those of you who are, any amount will make a world difference.

If you know me at all, then it's likely you know how much my kind-hearted, cheeky, clever dog, Padme, means to me. You might also already know how much my incredibly brave girl has been through these last few weeks, but if you don't I'll give you a quick overview.

Four weeks ago, a lump that popped up on her chest overnight led to a cancer diagnosis. While removing that cancer, another giant mass was found in her liver. This second cancer was removed four days later, along with 60% of her liver. Heartbreakingly, not all of the infected liver was able to be removed, so Paddy will require ongoing treatment to try to keep the remaining cancer at bay.

 

To make it through these two surgeries, Paddy needed two blood transfusions, countless tests, more medication than you can imagine and a week-long stay in the vet hospital in order for her body to begin to heal. A few days after returning home, Padme needed to be readmitted as her body was struggling to keep up with everything she'd been through.

 

I've been so hesitant to create this page, but I've gotten to the point where I need help in order to get my girl home. So far, Padme's treatment has cost me $33,000, and she'll need a lot more support over the coming weeks as she remains in intensive care.
