As a Director of the Paddy Hopkirk Memorial Foundation, Inc., I am proud to introduce our organization and charitable initiative—one that unites history, motorsport, and craftsmanship in celebration of an extraordinary man.
Our newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is dedicated to preserving the memory and achievements of the late Paddy Hopkirk, MBE—a true legend of BMC racing and rallying.
Following Paddy’s passing in August 2022, a close group of his friends and colleagues came together with one shared vision: to ensure his legacy lives on. In 2024, that vision became reality with the founding of our Foundation and our primary mission—to design, build, and deliver a life-sized bronze monument of Paddy alongside his 1964 Monte Carlo–winning Mini Cooper 33 EJB to the British Motor Museum. This magnificent monument will stand proudly at the museum’s main entrance, symbolizing the triumph, spirit, and character that defined Paddy’s remarkable career.
This ambitious work of art will be created by world-renowned automotive sculptor J. Paul Nesse and expertly cast in bronze in the United States to the highest standards of quality and authenticity. Endorsed by the Hopkirk family and developed in partnership with the British Motor Museum, the monument will serve as a lasting tribute to Paddy’s achievements as a driver, brand ambassador, successful businessman, and philanthropist—preserving his legacy for generations of enthusiasts to come.

The Paddy Hopkirk Memorial Foundation operates with absolute transparency and efficiency—100% of every donation directly funds the monument project. Our Board of Directors serves entirely on a volunteer basis, ensuring that every dollar goes toward creating a legacy worthy of Paddy’s name.
To reach the finish line, we have set a fundraising goal of $500,000 USD. Every contribution—large or small—brings us one stage closer to unveiling this permanent tribute at the British Motor Museum.
