Hello, we are Ruby & Karl (Pablos owners/pawrents), on the 14th February our whole life changed. Our beloved French Bulldog Pablo suffered multiple very scary seizures. After spending time at the Vets, The out of hours Vets and then the Specialists (Southern Counties) here he went through Blood Tests, MRI & a Spinal Tap and we were given the dreaded news that Pablo has a mask on the brain (a brain tumour). Something none of us saw coming. Something we are really struggling to process.

He has a less aggressive type called a Meningioma (it’s benign, non-cancerous), but they can cause serious neurological symptoms by compressing surrounding brain tissue as they grow.

The good thing is with where it is it can be reduced with radiotherapy. However It will never fully go but we can reduce it and he can have another two - three years of happy healthy life. If we don’t he could only have months left to live.

Pablo will be going to Bristol Vet Specialist where he will have radiotherapy. He will spending up to 3 weeks there (on and off).

Insurance

Pablo is insured for up to £8,000 however with his time at the Vets, Out of hours Vets and Specialists we are already at £5,000. The Radiotherapy treatment will be £10,000 - £11,000 (depending on how much treatment he will require) plus an additional £102.00 per night for boarding (this could be for three weeks not including weekends) (the boarding is still TBC as we need to see how he gets on staying there if he doesn't like it we will need to make the 5 hour round trip from Bournemouth to Bristol 3-4 times to bring him there and back or we may need to look at hiring somewhere to stay.

Pablo isn't 'just a Dog' 'just a Pet' Pablo is our whole life and we will do everything we can to give him more amazing years on this planet. This is very hard for both of us to ask for help but we are at a time of need and we would appreciate any donation small or big.
