Help Me Bring “Flavor of Borinquen” to Life
My name is Pablo, and my dream is simple—but deeply meaningful. I want to bring the true flavor, culture, and heart of Puerto Rico to my community through my food trailer, Flavor of Borinquen.
I wasn’t just raised on Puerto Rican food—I was raised on what it represents. Family. Sacrifice. Love. The kind of meals that bring people together after long days, where laughter fills the air and every bite tells a story. That’s what I want to share with others.
This isn’t just a business to me. This is my way of building something lasting for my family—something my children can be proud of. As a father, I want to show them what it means to work hard, to stay grounded in your culture, and to turn a dream into reality. With one of my sons stepping into a new chapter in life as he graduates and prepares to serve, this moment means even more to me. I want him—and all my children—to see that anything is possible with faith, effort, and heart.
I’ve already taken big steps toward making this dream real. I officially created my LLC, completed my food safety certification, and invested everything I could into getting started. Right now, I have:
• A brand-new trailer
• Insulation installed
• Fryer ready to go
• Three-compartment sinks and handwashing sink
• Fresh water tank, pump, plumbing, and black water tank
• Stainless steel walls and prep tables
• Fridge and freezer
• Power generator
• Fire safety equipment (ABC and Class K extinguishers)
Every piece you see here came from hard work, sacrifice, and belief in this vision.
But I’m not finished yet.
To meet health requirements and fully operate, I still need a few critical items:
• A small 2-burner stove
• FRP (fiberglass reinforced panels) for proper wall finishing
• A service window/door (72” x 48”)
• A custom stand for propane tanks
• An electric water heater
• Prep trailer floor
• Electric box/breaker, outlets
To complete everything and finally open my doors, I need to raise $10,000.
Asking for help is not easy—but I believe in this dream, and I believe in the power of community. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to opening that window, serving that first plate, and sharing a piece of Puerto Rico with everyone who walks up.
When you support Flavor of Borinquen, you’re not just helping build a food trailer—you’re helping build a future. You’re supporting a family, a culture, and a dream that’s been built with heart from day one.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting in any way you can.
With gratitude,
Pablo Gonzalez
