Help Pablo Martín Fight Brain Cancer – Every Step Matters
My cousin Pablo Martín is a brave, kind soul who has been battling aggressive brain cancer (Glioblastoma Grade IV) since 2020.
At just 29 years old, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pablo began experiencing weakness in his left arm and leg while doing CrossFit. Medical tests revealed a devastating diagnosis: a malignant brain tumor in the right frontal-parietal region. With Ecuador’s public hospitals overwhelmed, he had to undergo emergency brain surgery at a private hospital in Quito, paid entirely out-of-pocket.
Since that day, Pablo’s life has changed completely. He’s gone through:
• 32 sessions of radiotherapy
• 17 rounds of chemotherapy (Temozolomide)
• Ongoing physical rehabilitation,
• Lifelong anticonvulsant medications
• Regular follow-up MRIs, blood work, and neurological testing
In October 2024, Pablo suffered a major relapse, which left him with severely limited mobility and increased seizure episodes. He was hospitalized for 12 days and has now been prescribed a new round of chemotherapy. As a result, he has been unable to return to his career as an architect — a profession he loved deeply.
He also lost his small business, his home, and his financial independence. Despite all these hardships, Pablo continues to fight with courage and dignity.
But this fight is costly — physically, emotionally, and financially. His family has exhausted their savings, and the expenses continue to grow.
That’s why I’m reaching out to you — to ask for your support.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps Pablo access the care he urgently needs.
Your contribution will help cover:
• Ongoing chemotherapy
• Physical therapy
• Medical imaging and exams
• Daily medications
• Living and travel expenses to Quito
• Outstanding medical-related debts
Pablo is not giving up — and neither are we. With your help, we can make sure he continues this fight with the strength and support he deserves.
Thank you for reading, for donating, and for sharing this campaign. Your kindness means more than you know.
Please help Pablo keep fighting.
