Support Ozzy's Battle Against Severe Anemia

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. My sweet four-legged nephew Ozzy — my sister Tuyet’s beloved French Bulldog — is more than just a pet. He’s her best friend, her adventure buddy, and a cherished member of our family.

Recently, Ozzy was diagnosed with anemia and has been rapidly losing blood. His vet strongly recommended a blood transfusion to give him the best chance at recovery. We moved forward with the procedure last week to buy him some time while we searched for the underlying cause.

Sadly, despite the transfusion, Ozzy’s red blood cell levels (HCT) continue to drop significantly. At his follow-up appointment, the vet shared that he may have IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia), a serious autoimmune disease where the body attacks its own red blood cells.

Ozzy now urgently needs another blood transfusion so we can stabilize him and move forward with additional testing and treatment. This next step requires a specialist, and the cost is very high.

He’s currently being treated with steroids and antibiotics while under close monitoring. Ozzy is such a strong, loving pup, and it’s heartbreaking to see him go through this.
