May 8th, a stray dog showed up in Landon’ backyard— timid and injured. Since then, he’s been staying with Landon, and we have grown incredibly attached to this sweet boy. He’s doing his best to get around, but he’s unable to bear weight on his right leg. Despite his injury, he’s gentle, loving, and clearly wants to be part of a family.

We have named him Ozzie, and we are committed to giving him the love and care he deserves.

After a tough start, Ozzie is now facing a long road to recovery and required urgent medical care to live a healthy, pain-free life. He underwent orthopedic surgery on May 22nd and needs treatment for heartworms —the total cost of his care comes to $7,900.

This treatment plan includes:

• Heartworm treatment, including 3 separate injections

• Pre-operative X-rays

• Orthopedic leg surgery- plate and pin placement

• Pain medications

• Splint changes every 2 weeks for 6–12 weeks

• Post-operative X-rays and follow-up care

Without this care, Ozzie will continue to be in pain and unable to fully enjoy life the way he deserves. With it, he has a real chance at recovery and a future filled with comfort, love, and play.
