Support Oz’s Journey to a New Life in a Wheelchair

Hi all, my brother Oz was in a horrific snowboarding accident that has left him paralyzed from the waist down.

On Friday, February 6th, during the second run of the day, he caught an edge and that threw him into the air. Oz landed and realized he was not able to feel his legs. He was immediately care-flighted to Rapid City, and X-rays discovered he had a severed spine, several broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and a torn shoulder.

Friday night, Oz underwent a 6-hour procedure where they fused 6 vertebrae together so he would be able to sit up straight in his wheelchair. Oz is now recovering in Rapid City ICU and will eventually go to a rehabilitation center where he will learn how to live life in a wheelchair.

I love my brother and am SO thankful that he is still here with us. Oz has a long road ahead of him, but he is the strongest person I know. I’m asking for donations to help with medical bills and helping him transition into his new life in a wheelchair.
