We are raising funds for our 16 year old dog, Owen, who was taken to the emergency veterinary clinic today for his bleeding eye. They diagnosed him with a perforated cornea/infected eye and said he would most likely have to do a surgical removal of the affected eye due to the poor prognosis. My family was able to cover the costs of the visit and basic medications such as eyedrops and pain medicine (around $400), but at this time we unfortunately won't be able to afford a pricey surgical procedure which will likely amount to over $3000. He is also due for additional tests for issues with his kidneys and liver, which will cost another $800 but we are currently prioritizing the treatment of his eye.
Owen has been a beloved pet in our home for over 10 years after being adopted at the San Jose Animal Care Center. Any help will go directly to his treatment and is greatly appreciated.
