Since the transplant surgery, he's had multiple complications, and the week-long hospital stay has turned into over 2 weeks with an undetermined end in sight. My sister, Nicole, has been spending every day at the hospital, and in the evenings, she's staying a block away at the Ronald McDonald House with her 7-month-old son in tow. Once Owen is released from the hospital, he will need to stay at the Ronald McDonald House for 3 months. They aren't looking to be home until mid-late October. Her husband, Adam, has been making the 80-mile drive down to Rochester as much as possible, but with their six other kids at home in Mankato and work, it's a lot of back and forth. Expenses are adding up and if you're in a position to help, every bit would be greatly appreciated.
