Dear Friends and Family,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my son, Tim, and his wife, Morgan, to ask for your support during an incredibly challenging time for our family. My grandson, Owen, is currently in the hospital battling the worst pancreatitis flare-up he has ever experienced in the 8 years since his diagnosis of genetic chronic pancreatitis. On top of this, he has developed a serious infection in his abdomen that is causing inflammation in his gallbladder, liver, and spleen. Watching him endure this pain is heartbreaking, and we are doing everything we can to be by his side as he fights to recover.

Owen has been in the hospital for over a week now, and the road to recovery is still uncertain. As Tim and Morgan focus on being there for him, the financial strain of this situation is becoming overwhelming. They are facing mounting hospital bills, including two emergency room visits prior to being admitted, and the additional costs of staying by Owen’s side are adding up quickly. They need help to cover:

Costs of staying at the hospital with Owen: We want to be there for him around the clock, but the expenses for meals, parking, and other necessities are piling up.

Gas money for trips back and forth: Traveling between home, work, and the hospital daily to balance our responsibilities while ensuring Owen has the support he needs.

Financial recovery from missing work: Taking time off to be with Owen has meant lost income, and being a single-income home, it is becoming a struggle to keep up with regular expenses.

Future hospital stays: In the near future, Owen and his family will be exploring options related to more permanent solutions to his chronic pancreatitis. Any extra funds raised will be set aside for those future endeavors.

Tim and Morgan have always been a family that tries to manage on their own, but right now, they can’t do this alone. I'm humbly asking on their behalf for your help to ease the financial burden so they can focus on Owen’s recovery and keeping their family strong during this health crisis. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in helping us get through this.
