Support Owen's Brave Battle Against Leukemia

Dear Friends and Community Members,
We are reaching out today with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits to request your support for our courageous young family member, Owen Eigo.
In August of 2023, Owen was rushed to the Pediatric ICU at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. He had critically low levels of hemoglobin, white blood cells and platelets. He was battling multiple infections including strep & pneumonia with a completely compromised immune system. After 5 blood transfusions, 2 plasma transfusions, a bone marrow biopsy, spinal tap, multiple medications and many antibiotics he was finally released 4 months later in time for the holidays, with very little information and few additional answers in regard to his previous condition.
With him home, our family believed the worse to be behind. Unfortunately, almost one year later - to date - we have found him back in the hospital fatigued and fevering, facing this relentless foe for the second time. After conducting a complete workup, his Bloodwork (CBC) came back irregular and he was admitted for further testing/monitoring and we now have clarity.
At the tender age of 3, Owen has been diagnosed with B-cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). It is a fast-growing type of blood and bone marrow cancer that occurs when the bone marrow produces too many abnormal white blood cells called B-lymphocytes. This same disease took the life of his great-grandmother’s sister around this age.
Thankfully, Owen has a great team of doctors, nurses and oncology specialists who immediately started working on a treatment plan dedicated to helping him heal. Additionally, the medical field itself has made huge strides in curing this sickness with a 95% recovery rate, as long as the correct measures are provided for.
He has since had a port surgically implanted, additional bone marrow testing, another spinal tap, as well as his first dose of interstitial chemotherapy. Everything went well and he was in unbearable pain for days after. Fortunately, he’s starting to feel much better however, more pain is to be expected.
We are heartbroken for him & his family. After everything they have overcome, this little warrior and his family are facing another uphill battle. There's a long road ahead and with the prayers and support of our collective communities, we know they’ve got this. For the Lord blessed Owen with the strength and spirit of a fighter, a warrior to his core. Leukemia has picked the WRONG kid.
Please join us in spreading love, hope, prayer, and positivity for Owen & his family as he bravely battles leukemia. Your support and generosity will truly make a difference in his life.
The ongoing physical challenges, countless hospital visits, painful chemotherapy treatments will take an emotional toll that these burdens bring, Owen has shown immense courage and strength in battling this & continues to fight with a spirit that inspires us all.
Alongside the medical demands of the past & future this disease creates, there are additional necessities outside the standard treatment that are both intensive and expensive, placing a significant financial burden on Owen's family.
Despite their best efforts, the cost of two years worth of additional living space for Owen and his mother to quarantine him from outside infections, repeated travel to specialized hospitals, aid with ongoing living expenses including sibling childcare, and parental work relief are overwhelming and necessary. This is where our community can make a profound difference.
We are humbly asking for your donations, no matter the size, to help alleviate the financial strain and allow Owen’s family to focus solely on his recovery and well-being.
This is a battle no child or family should ever have to face. Owen is a vibrant young soul, full of dreams and aspirations, and with your help, we can give him the fighting chance he deserves. Though his future journey may be full of additional challenges, with his family by his side, his spirits will continue to remain unbroken.
Your generosity can make an incredible impact. Every dollar raised will go directly to Owen’s family, ensuring he receives the best possible care from his parents and his practitioners. Together, we can provide hope and support to Owen and his family during this challenging time and write a story of resilience, love, and the unwavering human spirit.
Whether you are able or unable to offer a financial contribution, please consider offering a moment in time to share Owen’s story with others who might also be willing to help. Let’s come together to show Owen & his family that they are not alone in this fight and that our community stands strong behind him.
To all those who have reached out with prayers, financial aid and loving words of support, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Please keep the prayers coming and follow Madison Thomas or Tyler Eigo (links below) for updates on his current state as well as scheduled treatments for prayer power.
There is faith in knowing that with your prayer and support, everything will be okay. Thank you for your kindness and support. Your generosity will forever be etched in our hearts.
With heartfelt gratitude,
