Support Ovi's Kidney Transplant Journey
Donation protected
I am Ovielky's wife and our family needs your help. Ovi needs a kidney transplant. If you know Ovielky, you know he is hardworking and kind. He is always willing to help others and rarely asks for anything in return. Ovielky went into kidney failure in October of 2023. He will be receiving dialysis 3 days a week while working full-time. Dialysis allows his kidneys to function at around 10%. A successful transplant will end the need for dialysis and return him to fully functioning.
In order to cast a wide net to find a match for Ovielky, banners, signs, advertising, t-shirts, and bumper stickers will help spread the word. These items are an unexpected expense that will go a long way in our search.
How can you help?
Any donation would help toward the costs to create the signs. Primo Press in Bristol CT will be making all signs and shirts.
Be willing to put a sign or banner in your yard or a highly visible place in your community.
Consider being screened as a living donor. According to the National Kidney Foundation, “On average, a kidney transplant from a living donor lasts about 15 to 20 years, and a kidney from a deceased donor lasts 8 to 12 years.” Matching living donors accelerates the process, versus going on a donor list where Ovielky may have to wait anywhere from 8 to 10 years.
