So, what can I say?
These kids love to dance.
They love ballet, they love their classmates, they love their teachers. They adore performing, everything from Giselle, to the Nutcracker, to new pieces choreographed by their teachers.
They all began dancing when they were young, 3-5 years old, and ballet is where they've found some of their closest friends. They've also learned to respect their teachers and the other kids in their classes, to work hard, to pace themselves, to listen, to be kind, and to be helpful to others.
My oldest wants to pursue dance and musical theater into college, with the eventual goal of teaching and bringing music and the arts to young children. My second child wants to pursue ballet professionally, looking towards auditioning for larger, more intensive schools in future summers with companies such as American Ballet Theatre and Boston Ballet. My third kid just loves being able to dance, and perform, and grow through his ballet education.
This all costs a lot, however. Apart from tuition, there are costs for equipment (pointe shoes, tights, leotards), and it all adds up very quickly. Summer Intensive classes are the most expensive, and it's a sum that is becoming harder to keep up with every year, especially as these kids move up through their levels and take more classes.
I want to see them flourish in their dreams of music and dance and theater. I don't want to see their classes interrupted because of tuition issues. Every little bit to help them pursue their education is so very welcome and so very needed.
Thank you in advance, from these three budding dancers!
