Hi Everyone,

We’re reaching out on behalf of our beloved Uncle Rick (Ricardo Torres). He recently suffered a stroke that has seriously impacted his ability to work and care for himself. Right now, he’s facing a long road to recovery that includes intensive inpatient therapy to help regain his mobility.

For more than 40 years, Uncle Rick has been a creative force. He’s a self‑employed master of hair, makeup, and interior design, admired for turning everyday moments into works of art. His talent took him all the way to the Tejano Music Awards, where he served as lead hairdresser, styling artists at one of the community’s most celebrated events.

Beyond his artistry, Uncle Rick is the kind of person who remembers every client’s story and volunteers his skills for family gatherings. He has an incredible ability to transform any space into something beautiful, warm, and full of life.

Whether it's a home, a salon, or a special event, he brings his signature style and personal touch to every detail. It’s that gift—not just for style, but for making people feel good in their surroundings—It has left a lasting impression on everyone who knows him.

He has always been the kind of person who goes out of his way to help others, and now, we want to be there for him.

We’re raising funds to help cover his medical and living expenses while he heals. Being self-employed means he doesn’t have the safety net of paid time off or steady income during this difficult time.
