Our mental health club for teenagers was founded with the goal to connect creativity and the arts with mental health support. At our stem magnet school, we saw so many students struggling with the pressures of a rigorous workload, and we wanted to create a space where they could express themselves, find community, and get the support they need.
We believe that art and creativity can be a lifeline for teens facing mental health challenges. As creatives, we wanted to share the joy art gave us. Through our club, we've hosted creative sessions, and created discussions about mental health topics to increase literacy. But to take our mission further, we need to become an official nonprofit. This will allow us to host more events, reach more students, and partner with organizations like Active Minds to make an even bigger impact.
The funds we raise will go directly toward registration fees for nonprofit status, supplies for our events, and, in the future, donations to other organizations supporting teen mental health. We invite you to share our fundraiser and donate if you can—every bit of support helps us grow our impact and bring hope to more teens in our community.
