Our Korean martial arts group, known as the East Sea Sword Sport US team, is traveling to South Korea for an international competition and cultural exchange in August 2024. We would be most grateful for any donation to help offset the cost of travel for our fearless leader, as well as other team-related expenses to and around our once in a lifetime trip!
East Sea Sword students train in sword forms and drills in preparation for a sport-style competition built around the concept of historical wars. It is a martial sport with a unique focus on fighting multiple enemies, each carrying a sword. Using foam and specialized rules for safety, competitors must learn to defend, attack, and analyze a multifaceted situation quickly and effectively.
