In 2023, our girls’ soccer team was formed with a simple goal: give young girls the opportunity to learn the game of soccer, build confidence, and grow together as teammates. At the time, most of the players were complete beginners. Many had never played organized soccer before, but they showed up every week willing to learn, work hard, and support one another.

Over the past two years, these girls have shown incredible dedication, resilience, and teamwork. Through countless practices, games, and tournaments, they have developed not only their soccer skills but also their confidence, leadership, and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Because of their commitment and growth, our team was invited by VC Fusion to represent the U13 age group in the prestigious Development Player League (DPL) — one of the top girls’ soccer platforms in the country. This opportunity is a huge honor and recognition of the girls’ hard work and potential.

As part of our participation in the DPL, our team has been invited to attend a national showcase in Richmond, Virginia, where top teams from across the country will compete in front of college scouts and high-level coaches. For many of our players, this will be their first opportunity to travel across the country and experience soccer at the national level.

However, traveling from California to Virginia comes with significant costs including airfare, hotels, transportation, and tournament expenses. Our goal is to make sure every player on our team has the chance to participate, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
