Our baby boy, Melo, has been an important part of our family for over 14 years. He isn’t just a pet, he’s family, he’s comfort, he’s home. I got Melo when I was just 18 years old, and I truly grew up with him. Every move, every memory, every high and low, Melo has been right there beside me. He has always been such a strong boy, full of love, grumpiness, and a lot of barking. We’ve been blessed that he’s stayed healthy and happy all this time.
Recently, everything changed unexpectedly. Out of nowhere, he became very sick and developed severe bloody diarrhea and weakness, and we had to rush him to the emergency vet. He has been hospitalized in the ER for multiple days receiving treatment, fluids, medications, and close monitoring while we wait for test results.
This has been overwhelming both emotionally and financially, but we’re doing everything we can to help him recover. After days of not eating, he finally took his first bites today, and that moment gave us so much hope. Emergency care adds up quickly, especially with hospitalization, continuous monitoring, testing, and treatment, and we weren’t prepared for how fast the costs would grow.
If you feel called to help support his care, we would be incredibly grateful. Any amount, even small, makes a difference. Sharing this link or sending prayers and love means just as much. Thank you for helping us fight for more time with our sweet Melo and bring him back home where he belongs.
