Support our superhero Noah Bear!

 

 

Hello Everyone & Thank you for visiting this page for my nephew / godson Noah!

 

I mentioned in the title 'our superhero Noah' because my godson is the epitome of what a superhero is <3

He is a funny, witty, caring, kind and at times a cheeky little munchkin.

 

Earlier this year Noah was suffering terribly with backpain. To the point that he could not sleep at night and at times he could not move without excruciating pain. My sister was up the walls trying to find out what was wrong with her son. She was sent home from hospitals a number of times until finally she met a doctor that agreed this needed to be investigated more.

 

After what felt like forever my sister finally got an appointment with a consultant. Noah then had an MRI which when the results came back shocked and devastated our whole family.

 

Noah was diagnosed with a tumor within his central nervous system. The tumor was in his spine which is a very rare place to locate a tumor. Soon after this was diagnosed Noah was set to have his surgery to have it removed.

 

Thankfully the surgery was a success however in order to remove the whole tumor, Noah's right leg was compromised. Along with needing to learn to do things he had already learnt to do as a baby again, he is now up against intensive physiotherapy to help him gain use of his right leg again. Noah will be using a wheelchair and maybe down the line a walking aid until this happens.

 

During his recovery, the biopsy results came back. Noah had a very rare tumor called 'DIFFUSE LEPTOMENINGEAL GLIONEURONAL TUMOR'. A grade 2 tumor which did contain cancer cells.

At this point Noah and his family have a long road ahead of them for recovery including MRI's every 3 months and possibly chemotherapy depending on the behavior of the tumor. As this is so rare the doctors cannot say for certain how it will behave. All we know is that this kind can have a tendency to come back.

 

We are staying positive and we know Noah will get through this.

 

Which brings me to why I am here. This unknown road has already had so many financial strains and worries for my sister LeeAnn and her partner Jason, which will only continue and grow with changes needed at home etc. all to accommodate Noah and help him life his life as normal as possible.

 

I want to take this one worry away with your help and support!

 

I hope that you can help me to support this family of 3 that have been to hell and back over the last few months and help them make it through this.
