We are CREW 3 - seven women developing a Short Film titled "Hysteria" as part of AMFI’s Fashion & Visual Culture minor.

Brought together by a shared passion for film and storytelling, we’re committed to approaching this project with sensibility, care and a genuine creative spirit.

Our short film follows a Woman whose emotions are widely ignored and misunderstood. In the Victorian Era, when medical knowledge was limited, and emotional expression was overlooked, her inner mind eventually becomes a source of fear to those around her, leading to a diagnosis of “Hysteria.”

While the term “Hysteria” is outdated today, the core of our protagonist's experience still lingers: how women continue to be observed and judged without being understood. Yet our intention is not to make a political statement, but to invite viewers to feel the isolation and confusion alongside her. Through carefully crafted visuals we hope to guide the audience into her shifting emotional landscape in a raw, yet deeply human way.

To bring this story to life with authenticity and care our goal is set to €3000. The main costs come from securing the era-appropriate Locations, Garments and Props, as well as the right equipment needed to curate the film’s cinematography - Cameras, Lenses and Lights.

However, what matters most to us is being able to fairly compensate our fellow creatives - the cast, hair and makeup artists, set assistants, post-production team and all the other people dedicating their time and talent to help us tell this story.

While this is a Student Production, we want to create an environment that reflects the respect we have the work being done and everyone involved.

We keep transparent records of expenses and decisions, ensuring that every contribution is used responsibly throughout the whole process.
