Our Starbucks baristas and union members—myself, my coworkers, and our families—are reaching out for support as we participate in an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike. As unionized workers, we are standing together to demand fair treatment and better working conditions after months of chronic understaffing, poor communication, and unfair practices that have made it impossible to do our jobs well. The decision to strike was not made lightly, but we believe it’s necessary to protect our rights and the future of our workplace.

The funds we’re raising will help cover living expenses and lost wages for all of us on strike. We’re a diverse group some of us are parents, including myself and another mom who is expecting her second child. Others are trying to keep up with rent or have recently bought homes. Some have been out on disability and need to work, but can’t while we’re striking. We’re all at different points in life, but we share the same need for support while we fight for our rights and livelihoods.

We truly love our customers—regulars, occasional visitors, and everyone who walks through our doors. We remember your faces and your favorite drinks, and we’re grateful for your patience and kindness during this difficult time.
