Support Our Spaying and Neutering Pop-Up Clinic

Hello everyone,

We're organizing a spaying and neutering pop-up clinic in collaboration with a dedicated veterinarian and three skilled technicians in Pogradec, Albania. Our goal is to address the urgent issue of overpopulation among stray dogs and improve their overall well-being. We’re starting with a pop-up clinic over 3 days where we plan to spay and neuter 30 dogs.

The Problem:

The town of Pogradec in Albania faces a significant challenge with its stray dog population, leading to overcrowding, suffering, health concerns and abuse later in life for these poor angels. With winter fast approaching, cold temperatures are going to make it increasingly hard for potential pregnant dogs to give birth, and even harder for their newborns to survive under harsh conditions. Spaying and neutering programs have proven to be effective in controlling the stray animal population and improving their quality of life.

Our Solution:

We have teamed up with a compassionate veterinarian and a team of experienced technicians to organize a spaying and neutering pop-up clinic. This clinic will provide essential medical procedures to roughly 30 dogs in need, not only reducing the number of strays but also preventing the cycle of suffering for future generations. We are working towards long-term solutions, but for the time being, we are trying to help however we can.

How You Can Help:

By contributing to our GoFundMe campaign, you're directly helping us cover the costs associated with this vital initiative:

Medical Supplies: Ensuring that we have the necessary medical equipment and supplies for safe and effective procedures ($58 cost per dog, total $1740 for 30 dogs).

Transportation and Logistics, Vehicle Rental: Ensuring safe transportation of our vet and the technicians' team, equipment, and supplies to the remote location in Pogradec. ($180)

Animal Care: Providing post-operative care, including medications, food, and shelter, to aid in the dogs’ recovery. ($18 cost per dog, total $540 for 30 dogs)
