Support Our Softball Team's Journey to Nationals
Donation protected
Hello friends and family!
As many of you know, I am still playing softball and prolonging my time until I have to enter the workforce. While I am still playing softball in Japan for most of the year, I am on a small side mission in New Zealand playing more softball until I have to report to Japan in March. I figured that New Zealand is a perfect place to prepare for the upcoming season (and an amazing place to travel, obviously). If any of you would ever want to come visit me, in Japan or New Zealand or wherever I am, you are more than welcome and have a place to stay with me!
Back to the main point, I am starting a GoFundMe for our team in New Zealand. In contrast to my team in Japan, my team in New Zealand is a club rather than a professional league. This means that many of the team's funds for travel, uniforms, and nationals are purely based on fundraising and out-of-pocket costs. It's been difficult to raise funds in New Zealand because the softball circle is much smaller, meaning most people you ask to donate have already donated to the three other teams on the south island of New Zealand. While we are still holding bake sales, signings, camps, and anything else that could make some sort of impact through fundraising, I thought, who better to help raise money for a team than my people in the States?
We need help getting to nationals on the north island in March to cover hotel, car, gas, and flight expenses. We’re doing our due diligence with bake sales and any other money-making opportunities, but if any of you would like to help us out in getting to Auckland this March, we would greatly appreciate it. If you can’t donate or don’t feel the need to, I would love it if you shared this with people who may be able to donate! I love and miss you all so very much.
p.s. if you wanna stay updated on where I’m at, what I’m eating, and what I’m seeing, I’m trying to put together a little YouTube thing so you can all follow along, just be a little patient, I’m very behind on the technology.
Much love to you all!
