Please help our neighbors who lost everything in a fire!

This is a joint effort of Pippa Holloway and Amanda Kail. This morning our neighbors' house burned down. They lost everything including two of their much beloved cats. They are completely heartbroken and very overwhelmed. (Thankfully two dogs and a cat made it out safely).

There were two families involved with four people who need help. This includes an elderly couple, one of whom is disabled and currently being treated for cancer. The other couple are also dealing with health issues and one of them is an RPS teacher who is about to start school on Monday. They literally escaped with nothing but the clothes they were wearing at the time.

They will need a lot of support to get back on their feet, including short term rentals and deposits and first months rent on a new apartment. Let's surround them with the love and care of our communities. Please donate if you can.

Please note that after I set this up I have since learned that GoFundMe only allows for one designated beneficiary. So, my plan is to deposit the funds and then distribute them equally to both couples.

Also HUGE shout out to the Richmond Fire Department who battled an intense blaze and brought the cats out. To the Metro Richmond Flying Squad who provided support for everyone. To Richmond Animal Control who tried so hard to save the cats. And to CM Stephanie Lynch's office who jumped in with support immediately.
