Our Only Goal Is to Find My Dad, Cipriano
Our family is facing an incredibly difficult situation. My dad, Cipriano Garcia, traveled to Mexico City on April 9. He did not return to the United States as scheduled on April 22. Cipriano’s last known contact was in Mexico City on April 18th. Cipriano is elderly, walks with a walker, and traveled to Mexico for cataract surgery.
Reports have been filed in the United States, and we continue to cooperate fully with authorities and pursue every available lead. Based on the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and the lack of verified information since his last known contact, we now suspect foul play and are deeply concerned for his safety.
At this stage, we are raising funds to take the next critical steps ourselves. The funds raised will allow us to hire a private investigator familiar with the area, and, if necessary, travel to Mexico City to follow up on leads in person. Being on the ground and having professional assistance may make the difference in finding answers.
If, for any reason, funds are not used for travel or investigative efforts, they will be donated to a registered 501(c)(3) organization that supports missing persons cases, so that the help can continue beyond our family.
We know this asks a great deal of trust. The only outcome we are hoping for is answers—and, most of all, finding Cipriano. Thank you for helping us keep this search moving forward.
