Our school once had a vibrant community garden—a living classroom where students of all abilities could connect with nature, learn about sustainability, and experience the joy of growing something with their own hands. Over time, the garden has fallen into disrepair due to limited resources and shifting priorities. But the soil still holds promise, and with your help, we can bring it back to life.
We’re seeking support to restore this space into a thriving, inclusive garden that serves as a hub for hands-on science lessons, therapeutic activities, and community-building projects. This garden will especially benefit our special education students, who flourish in sensory-rich, experiential environments. It will also provide fresh produce for students to share with family and friends.
What We Need:
- Raised garden beds and adaptive tools for students of all abilities.
- Seeds suited to our West Coast climate.
- A drip irrigation system to conserve water.
- Outdoor seating and shade structures for learning and reflection.
- Signage and art supplies to make the space welcoming and educational.
- A greenhouse to start seeds and be ready as the seasons change.
Why It Matters:
This isn’t just about plants—it’s about people. Reviving our garden will reconnect students to the earth, to each other, and to the values of stewardship, patience, and care. It will be a place where science meets creativity, where lessons grow from the ground up, and where every student can feel proud of what they’ve helped nurture.
With your support, we can turn this patch of land into a blooming symbol of resilience and renewal.
Thank you for helping us sow the seeds of learning, healing, and hope.
