Throughout my 34 years of teaching, I have always supported numerous after school programs such as sports, book clubs, tutoring and creative arts. My drama club is the longest running program at my school. Thousands of students have participated in this club, and I've had the pleasure of working with students to create fun, engaging productions. In addition to acting skills, students learn the role of the stage crew, they learn set and costume design, they sing and dance, and some even try directing. The best part is that the drama club members gain new friendships, feel accepted for who they are, and continue to maintain a positive climate.
