SUPPORT SAFE HAVEN FOR URGENT DOGS!!
Donation protected
Hi friends & new faces! My name is Alyssa. I am Founder and Director of our rescue group known as “The Pitty Committee ”, along with our non-profit: “Pits And Tits ” (—yes, it is a catchy & silly name but hold up & I will explain down below at the verrrrry bottom ⬇️ I promise we do great work involving breast cancer!).
As you may or may not know, our dog rescue group recently relocated to a bigger property within Southern California with ONE goal in mind: to HELP MORE ANIMALS❣️
For the last 10 years, my dad and I have run our Dog Rescue and ‘mini’ sanctuary—but were limited in what we could personally do for the dogs, as we were already ‘maxed out’ in the amount of animals we had on-site.
Our move to a bigger property was extremely vital so we can increase our life-saving work & make a bigger impact in the lives of animals. We will utilize this 5+ acre property as our Rescue Hub/Sanctuary for California Rescue Dogs.
We are extremely experienced with Bully breeds. Since they make up the highest percentage of dogs within the shelter system, they are the dogs we work with most; however, So Cal Rescue Ranch will be a Safe Haven to help any/all breeds. We would eventually love to expand to help other animals—like mini ponies and mini donkeys—and be their “holding space” after they come from slaughter auctions. For now, we are starting with the Rescue Dogs.
Having the additional space allows the ability to help dogs the right way, building a solid, structured foundation from the moment they leave the shelter to the moment they go off for their “2 week test adoption” (prior to officially becoming a member of a wonderful, perfectly-matched “Forever Family”).
One of the most hectic things for a newly Rescued Dog is when a rescue org has to move that dog from Foster Home to Foster Home after their caretaking commitments end (for whatever reason). Giving these dogs a constant, steady environment the whole way is our ultimate goal. We know that through consistent love and stability —these dogs are free to heal from past trauma and begin new lives.
Over the past 10 years in Dog Rescue, we have learned so much about dogs & have become extremely well-versed in their behavior (both the good & the bad). There is no dog too difficult, nor any behavior too complicated for us to handle. I personally used to work at a vet hospital and we used to run a pet sitting business that specialized in caring for the “most difficult” of dogs.
We love the dogs that others have given up on; with seemingly zero hope. We adapt to their needs and show them respect from the moment we meet them; never pushing them beyond what they are OK with. We are these dogs’ # 1 advocate; their sole lifeline. It is up to us (and only us!) to protect them. This means having extensive knowledge as to what each unique dog’s limitations and boundaries are. We are so very fortunate to have been surrounded by so many dogs with varying temperaments throughout the past decade. Each day, we expand our knowledge and understanding of these wonderful animals.
Once we lock in our “Rescue Ranch” property, we can officially start bringing urgent dogs on-site to rehabilitate, provide medical care as needed & locate solid Adopters.
We need to raise $30,000 by 3/31. If you love rescue dogs and want to make a major impact in the lives of at-risk dogs in Southern California, please DONATE and SHARE. We need as many people supporting our mission as possible. Dog Rescue is a team effort! We could not operate without the support of this wonderful community.
Our Rescue Ranch has endless potential. The amount we will save in medical/behavior Foster bills, emergency boarding and Board & Trains is astronomical! Every single penny from your donations goes directly to the dogs. But now, there is SO much we can personally do on-site for the Rescue dogs at ZERO COST, allowing us to utilize donations on vital vet care & other dog necessities.
We want to STOP YOUR DONATIONS from lining the pockets of animal business owners. We are in animal rescue solely for the welfare of the dogs. Locking in this property will eliminate having to PAY a middle man in the long-run, as it’s completely unnecessary & totally takes away from the real needs of the dogs.
Please help us reach our goal! We know it is a big ask—but with your help, we will do so much amazing life-saving work at our Rescue Dog Ranch for countless years to come.
Your donations are entirely tax-deductible. Our ein is 47-3648692. We have other ways to donate like Venmo/Cashapp: PittyCommittee. Or PayPal and Zelle. How to donate through those last two payment apps can be found by clicking HERE .
If you are interested in getting involved on a larger scale, we have been scheduling Zoom video calls where we can discuss our project further/answer any questions you may have.
We would love to set up a 30 min meeting with you. We are thankful in advance for any interested sponsors. You can contact us by clicking HERE.
Thank you so much for helping us save these amazing Dogs! We could not rescue without your support. As they say, it 1000% takes a whole village—and we are very grateful for ours!
MORE ABOUT OUT ORGANIZATIONS:
The Pitty Committee focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming at-risk “bully breeds”. The dogs we rescue usually come from shelter euthanasia lists across Southern California animal shelters but sometimes we take in homeless dogs rescued from the streets. We tailor to our Rescue Dogs individual needs, providing each with necessary medical care, behavioral training & whatever else they may need in order to make them adoptable & ready for a Forever Home!
Pits And Tits is our organization that promotes breast cancer awareness & “Pit Bull” advocacy. It was started as a way to give back to the amazing ladies who are WARRIORS through and through. We also highlight other important issues involving women. Our website features facts, statistics and important information about breast cancer. We showcase mammogram clinics and highlight crucial services available for women undergoing treatment. Our wig donation program matches chemo patients with beautiful, natural-looking wigs so women can feel confident every step of the way throughout their cancer journey— *if* that is the route they choose to take! Bald is Beautiful but wigs can help some women feel more like themselves, as they kick cancer’s booty. Our organizations causes are so extremely important to us and very near and dear to my heart, personally. My grandmas both battled breast cancer & I rescued my first Pitty—Roscoe—in 2011.
Throughout the years, our main focus has become the dog rescue portion of our organization, as there are so many dogs greatly in need of help within Southern CA. Our dog rescue group has saved and successfully adopted out over 300 dogs who otherwise would have been euthanized or struggling on the streets with zero help in sight.
Thank you for supporting our work! And thank you so much for taking the time to read!
