Cama-i! Hello!
We are creating this relief fund on behalf of our relative, Veronica Olick, her children, and her Elder parents, Thomas and Maggie Jumbo, who have been evacuated from Nightmute to Anchorage after Typhoon Halong destroyed their homes.
All funds raised will go directly from GoFundMe to Veronica to help cover some basic living essentials in the city while they heal, and any remaining funds will go back into rebuilding their homes and community. It is time that we give back to our relatives.

Anchorage Daily News reports that Typhoon Halong destroyed at least 14 homes in the Nightmute, displacing at least 100 people, and leaving ecological devastation after fuel drums spilled into the water.
Veronica's spouse is staying in Nightmute with their two eldest sons to clean up and rebuild the community. As a caretaker, Veronica is responsible for looking after her three youngest children in the City of Anchorage. Two of her children have disabilities. Having spent their whole lives in the village, our relatives will be in for a culture shock. They will stay in temporary living accommodations by the Red Cross of Alaska until they can return to Nightmute.
Please uplift our loved ones while they create a safe place after they have given so much to the community. They are incredibly grateful for all the love and support they're receiving.
Quyana cakneq! Thank you!
