Hello everyone, my name is Dipity Clown, originally hailing from Silly Town. I am a multidisciplinary performance and visual artist. I have been creating for a long time, and in my works, I translate a lot of personal experiences to create humorous and thought-provoking content.

The concept of Red Flags was seeded over 18 months ago; it began as some things do, after heartbreak, betrayal, and ignoring a few red flags. This sparked intimate, healing, and important conversations between friends.

With these conversations came deeper connection and shared experiences, as we began to unravel our collective challenges, the red flags we’d faced in life, love, and relationships. As artists, we wanted to transmute hardship into something creative and to try to solve and understand a collective human experience. We wanted to know how we could navigate red flags effectively, productively, and creatively, whilst doing a little bit of self-reflection and taking responsibility for our own parts that play out on the stage of intimate relationships and own our red flags too.

We came together as a group of female-identifying artists, from different backgrounds and skillsets, to share our stories. In January 2025, Catrin Enderlein, Kate Aria, Marion Cardamome, Nikki Dagostino, and I created the first iteration of Red Flag Cabaret for Perth Fringe, a three-night sold-out cabaret at a little venue called Sassy Mamma in the city.

We wanted to take our message further and wider, so we got to work and created a production company, Red Flag Productions, and set our sights on The Edinburgh Fringe. Catrin and I started to collaborate with spoken word, musical complications, acrobatics, and clowning. We performed our work at Blazing Swan, Sustainable Housing for Artists and Creatives, and at Cirquest Circus.

Due to logistics, the original team of five became a duo, where Catrin and I have rewritten our script, developed new acts and material, sewn costumes, sourced car tyres, learnt acrobatics, singing, and upskilled our performance repertoire. We have self-funded, produced, and managed our administration and marketing skills to bring Red Flag Cabaret all the way across the globe. We have held strong to our mission to set sail for Edinburgh so we can share our authentic voice as artists.

So, what happens when a Crazy Clown and a Guitar Playing Cat walk into a cabaret?
Red Flags, of course.

Red Flag Cabaret is an adults-only, female duo musical comedy — blending clowning, circus, and burlesque to unpack the red flags of modern relationships. It explores the red flags we ignore, the lessons we (sometimes) learn, and the beauty of embracing life’s ups and downs. The show invites the audience to reflect on their own red flag experiences and celebrate the imperfections that make us human.

We have put our heart, soul, vulnerability, authentic voice, and our truth into this work, along with years of dedication as performers, time, energy, and personal financial resources. We would love to grow the work and be able to reconnect and collaborate with our founding performers for Perth Fringe and see where our voice can take us.

If you can support us from afar, we would love to raise funds to help us cover the costs of Edinburgh and to see the work continue to grow and evolve, and to reach more people. Donate what you can and as you feel, or if you cannot donate but would love to support us, please follow us on our social media: @red.flags.productions.

Thank you, and lots of love and a few red flags from
