Dear Families,
Our Colfax Football program is building something special—and it’s happening right now in the off-season. We currently have record participation, with over 40 athletes enrolled in our 5th-period football class and more than 30 players consistently showing up for our morning Champions Club. That kind of commitment from our athletes speaks volumes about the direction of this program.
This growth is driven by dedicated coaching and structure. Our players rotate through a high-intensity daily circuit that includes strength training, speed and agility, and fundamental football work. A major reason this system has been so effective is Coach Oz, who has been driving up four days a week to help lead these sessions. His presence has elevated the energy, accountability, and development of our athletes.
Coach Oz has been volunteering his time, but by doing so he is missing paid work as a professional strength and conditioning coach for MMA fighters in Roseville. Because district coaching stipends are seasonal, there is currently no funding in place to keep him involved through the spring—unless we step in as a community.
We are launching a GoFundMe to help cover Coach Oz’s time during the spring training months. Your support directly invests in our athletes, strengthens the foundation of the program, and supports the long-term success of Colfax Football.
Our goal is to raise $3,000 to help offset Coach Oz’s compensation. Any funds raised beyond that amount will go toward essential program needs such as replacing our broken end zone camera, maintaining our Hudl subscription, and updating necessary gear. These are critical tools for player development that are not covered by the school and can only be funded through fundraising efforts.
I will be collecting and distributing all donated funds and inputting into a spread sheet with full transparency for everyone to see. Any level of support makes a difference, and together we can continue building a program our athletes are proud to be part of.
