UPDATE - After hitting our initial £500 goal in just 24 hours we have extended the goal to fully fund our event and promotion. Thank you all for the incredible support!
Charles Mountbatten-Windsor will be crowned on 6th May 2023 as Britain's new Monarch.
Without democratic consent or accountability to the people he claims to serve.
We will be rallying to champion an alternative - An elected Head of State for Scotland.
We'll be meeting at the National Monument for Scotland on the 6th May 2023 at 15:00.
We've been overwhelmed by the support we've gotten from people from all over Scotland offering us help and we'd like to make sure we can provide the proper infrastructure for the event. That includes:
- A stage and a PA, so that our guests can be seen and heard
- Travel stipends for volunteer speakers who wish to travel and speak for us.
- Banners, leaflets and flags so that we can fly our colours proudly and make our voices loud and clear.
All in, we expect the event to cost between £1000 - £1500. We would welcome your support as our planning continues. Due to a generous donation from the Radical Independence Campaign we only need £1000 more to cover our costs!
Our Republic is a not for profit, volunteer run organisation. All proceeds from the GoFundMe will be spent on the rally.
