We never imagined our sweet puppy would need emergency surgery. He’s so young and already such a special part of our family; full of love, energy, and joy.

It all started when he couldn’t keep anything down. After nearly 5 hours at urgent care with bloodwork, fluids, x-rays, and meds, he still wasn’t improving. $1,300 paid and then rushed him to VSS, a 24-hour animal hospital, where they discovered he had swallowed a sock-like material that was blocking his stomach and small intestine.

Surgery went well (praise God!), but he’s staying overnight so they can monitor him until he eats on his own. The total cost at the hospital will be between $4,500–$5,500.
