Dear Friends of Bethlehem Baptist Preschool,
For over six decades, Bethlehem Baptist Preschool, formally Chamberlayne Baptist Preschool, has been a cherished cornerstone of early childhood education in our community—a place where children’s first joys of learning take root.
It is with deep sadness and urgency that we share some very difficult news. On November 1, 2025, our community was stunned by an unexpected email from Bethlehem Baptist Church informing us that the Preschool will be forced to close on January 30, 2026.
This decision has left our incredible staff and loving families feeling heartbroken and overwhelmed. Since then, connecting with the church leadership has proven very difficult. Despite this, our dedicated team, alongside our committed parents, has immediately mobilized to protect the continuity of our children’s education.
Since our students are unable to complete the year in their familiar classrooms, we are working tirelessly to relocate the Preschool by February 2026.
Relocation is more than just moving boxes. It is an enormous, time-sensitive task involving legal expenses, administrative hurdles, and the immediate need to secure and fully equip a new facility—creating a new, safe, and engaging environment from the ground up.
We cannot do this alone. We are urgently asking for your partnership in this transition.
We have launched the “Together We Build: A Future for Our Preschool” Fund. Your contribution is a direct investment in keeping our mission alive. Funds are needed now for immediate expenses: securing a new space, covering moving costs, and purchasing foundational classroom materials to ensure our children experience a seamless, secure transition*.
Our legacy is built on the belief that every child deserves a beautiful beginning. With your generosity, we can guarantee that our preschool spirit endures, continuing to be a place where our children flourish, feel secure, and know they are deeply loved.
Thank you for being a steadfast source of hope and support during this unforeseen challenge.
With deepest gratitude,
Morning Meadow
