My name is Rob Minardi and about a year ago a friend and I were looking for a play in hopes of putting together our own production when our director, David Newer proposed Strange Snow, a play by Stephen Metcalfe that tells the story of two Vietnam veterans navigating the struggles of PTSD as well as the effects that it has on those around them. What started out as an idea to simply put on a show soon became an opportunity to use the power of storytelling to move the world toward in a way that benefits those who make the ultimate sacrifice. It is our plan to put on 6 shows in June of 2025 in which 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation which aims to eradicate veteran homelessness and support the families of fallen first responders and soldiers, as well as those who continue to make the sacrifice of putting their bodies and lives at risk for our country. We are looking to raise $20k for our production that will go toward covering the cost of the venue, licensing fees, rehearsal expenses, set design/construction as well as marketing, advertising, and publicity expenses.
