Support Our Parents Through Tough Times

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate souls,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share a challenging chapter in our lives. Our beloved mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes. She has been the primary caregiver for our father, who suffered a stroke two years ago and requires constant care. This dynamic has placed an incredible burden on her, physically, emotionally, and financially.

However, the path to healing is filled with complexities. Due to her underlying health conditions including COPD (a chronic lungs disease), cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental health issues, traditional surgery under deep sleep is not an option for her. Conscious sedation is the only alternative, which is a very risky procedure. Furthermore, the possibility of post-surgery cancer therapies is slim due to her underlying health conditions. Our search for alternative treatments has led us to a renowned cancer researcher, whose methods offer hope but come at a considerable cost.

We are humbly seeking support on two fronts:

Medical Expenses for Our Mother: The costs for post-surgery care, including medication, alternative therapies, and everyday necessities, which have already strained our family financially. There are three siblings in our family. My elder sister is a single mother raising an autistic child and still visiting and helping our parents on a daily basis, while my younger sister has chosen to return from Budapest, Hungary to our hometown Kistelek, Hungary to take on the role of primary caregiver for our mother following her surgery. Myself is residing in the UK and trying my best to financially support my family in these difficult times. Despite this, we will still need assistance in caring for our father and arranging temporary placement for him in a care home.

Care Home for Our Father: To ensure our mother's recovery, we need to temporarily place our father in a specialized care home. Unfortunately, state institutions were not an option due to not having availability for stroke patients like my father and long waiting lists, sometimes years. We have received multiple rejection letters from state institutions both locally and across Hungary. This leaves us with the only choice of a private institution.
Our parents have selflessly dedicated their lives to raising us and supporting us in countless ways. Now, they need our support more than ever. Even a simple act of sharing this message can make a significant difference. If you find it in your heart to contribute financially, know that your kindness will directly impact the wellbeing of two incredible individuals who mean the world to us.
The surgery is scheduled for September 2023, but the exact date depends on the 4th September appointment with the surgeon. Every bit of support, whether through sharing or contributing, brings us closer to giving our parents the care they deserve during these trying times.

The expenses are as follows:
Mum:
Everyday medication (for the next 12 months): £2,400.00
Alternative therapy (for the initial 4 months recommended post-surgery): £1,280.00
Daily expenses (for the next 12 months): £2,400.00
Dad:
Everyday medication (for the next 12 months): £2,400.00
Care home (for the next 12 months): £12,000.00
Total: £20,480.00

Thank you for your compassion and support.

With gratitude,
