On New Year’s Day, my parents’ house caught fire resulting in extensive damage to the first level of the home. We were able to evacuate without injury and are temporarily staying with family while we navigate this process.

While we are hopeful that insurance will cover a significant portion of the damages, my sisters and I are sharing this GoFundMe in hopes of being able to assist in paying their insurance deductible and to help alleviate some of the financial, emotional, and mental stress that comes with such an unexpected and overwhelming experience.

We are thankful that everyone is physically safe but know there is a long road ahead to restore our parents’ home to a habitable state. Thank you to all of the friends, neighbors, and family that have checked in on us and offered support. We could not be more grateful to Chesterfield County Fire Department for their quick response and assistance.
