On May 17th, we will begin a deliberate "intermission." For the next 4 to 5 months, our doors will close as we construct a brand-new space designed for the next generation of our mission. This is a move of diplomacy and partnership. We have chosen to be team players, working with mall management to accommodate a massive new anchor tenant that will breathe fresh life into the entire center. By moving, we aren't just shifting locations; we are anchoring ourselves in a more vibrant future.
During the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19, global tariffs, and rising inflation, we made a conscious choice: we absorbed the cost. We protected our customers' buying power while our own margins eroded. We admit now that this was a strategic mistake of the heart—it limited our ability to invest in our staff and our infrastructure. We are keeping it real because the community needs to understand the true weight of maintaining a conscious business in a volatile economy.
To ensure we start our next chapter from a position of strength, not struggle, we are calling on our community stakeholders.
We have launched a GoFundMe to bridge the gap during this intermission. The build-out costs are in the hundreds of thousands, and the lost revenue will be double that. This is the moment for the community to show that 31 years of loyalty is a two-way street.
