In Loving Memory of our Mother Adela
Donation protected
On August 27, our mother’s life changed in an instant. What began as her usual evening walk in the park ended in tragedy when she was struck and knocked down by an inebriated man on a bicycle at Hillview Park. The fall caused severe head trauma, and she was rushed into emergency brain surgery to relieve dangerous swelling.
The path ahead is long and uncertain. Doctors have told us that if she pulls through, she’ll face an extended hospital stay, and months — if not years — of intensive therapy and rehabilitation.
But if there’s anyone built for a fight like this, it’s her. She beat colon cancer in 2003 with quiet resilience, enduring chemotherapy while grieving the sudden loss of our father, her husband, the following year. She’s always been small in stature, but mighty in spirit — fiercely independent and deeply committed to living fully for her family and the Lord.
Now, for the first time, she can’t do it on her own. She needs us. And we need help.
The financial toll of her care — hospital bills, ongoing rehabilitation, and long-term support — is more than our family can manage alone. If you're able, we would be deeply grateful for any contribution to help cover the costs of her recovery. Every gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to giving her the best possible chance to heal and regain her strength.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your generosity, your prayers, and your kindness during this incredibly difficult time.
