Hello. We are raising funds for our resilient mother who has recently experienced a challenging health scare that is still ongoing; we are asking for your assistance.

On March 19th, our mother, LaCretia, unexpectedly started feeling severe chest pains and shortness of breath. She was rushed to the ER. After several hours and tests, we were told they found a mass in her chest. Within a week, she underwent a biopsy and PET scan. Due to complications of the biopsy, she was rushed once again to the ER because she developed pneumothorax (causing air in the chest cavity and no longer going to the lung). Her left lung collapsed and a chest tube was placed to redirect the air. She spent 5 days in the hospital. During her hospital stay, she was diagnosed with Type-A Thymoma (cancer of the thymus gland). On May 6, 2025, our mom will need to undergo surgery to remove the tumor.

LaCretia has been the epitome of strength and resilience. She raised the four of us as a single parent, all while pouring into her community and working full time in the Health Insurance industry. After 25 years, she took the courageous leap and started her own consulting business and is self-employed. She has worked tirelessly in growing her business and giving back to her community. She is a pillar and role model to many. Constantly spreading a smile, laugh, word of encouragement, and is overall a true beauty inside and out. Our Mom has always been resourceful and able to overcome many challenges, but this unexpected reality has become a setback.

Any donation amount would help, all funds would be used to cover medical bills and expenses. This would allow our mom the opportunity to focus on recovery, and alleviate some of the financial burden this has caused.
