Hi, my name is Megan, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my brother, my sister, and myself—for our mom.
Our mom was recently diagnosed with early-stage cervical cancer. She had her second biopsy today and is now waiting for the surgeon to call and schedule her first surgery for cancer removal. This has been incredibly scary for our entire family, and this surgery is only the first step. Last year, our mom went through spinal surgery. She is also facing two hip replacements in the near future, but the cancer must be treated first. On top of everything, she lives in severe, daily pain. A large tumor stretches from hip to hip and is pressing on surrounding organs, making it extremely difficult for her to move or find comfort. She is only 49 years old.
Our mom is one of the most genuine, selfless people you could ever meet. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Helping others has always come naturally to her—asking for help has not. She has pushed herself to keep working through pain for far too long. Right now, what she truly needs is the ability to stop working and focus on healing.
We are asking for help so our mom can:
• Take time off to recover from cancer surgery.
• Prepare for future medical care and upcoming hip replacements.
• Focus on healing instead of worrying about bills and lost income.
When she isn’t working, she is often stuck in bed because of how much pain she is in. She cannot continue living this way. Our mom is also a proud and loving grandma. Being “Grammy” to her two grandchildren is her greatest joy. All she wants is to be able to bend down, play with them, and truly enjoy time with them again.
Our goal is simple: to give our mom the chance to heal and live a happier, healthier, and pain-free life.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, and supporting our family during this extremely difficult time. From her two daughters and her son—thank you for any donations, shares, and support.
