In February 2020, our mom was diagnosed with stage 3/4 ovarian cancer. For nearly five years, she has faced this relentless disease with a strength and resilience that can only be described as cast iron. She has fought fiercely, modeling perseverance and grace even in the face of overwhelming challenges.
Our family’s journey has been marked by both heartbreak and deep love. Four years after her diagnosis, we learned that her eldest daughter, Dawn, was also diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer. Together, they faced this fight, finding strength in one another. Family treatment days became a bittersweet part of our lives. As if that weren’t enough, our dad has also been navigating his own health battles with bladder cancer and heart failure. Despite these immense trials, our mom has continued to show up every day with gratitude and unwavering love for her family.
The last four years have been a precious gift. They’ve given our mom the opportunity to build beautiful relationships with her two new grandchildren, River and Levi. These little ones have brought her so much joy and have been a source of light and hope during the darkest days.
While her spirit remains strong, our mom’s body is tired. The toll of this disease has been immense, and we are now entering a new chapter in her journey. As a family, we are committed to supporting her with love, dignity, and care through these next steps.
We are reaching out to her community—the friends and loved ones who have stood by her over the years—for help. Your support will allow us to navigate this time together, ensuring that she has the care and comfort she needs. Whether it’s through a donation, sharing this campaign, or simply keeping her in your thoughts and prayers, we are deeply grateful for anything you can offer.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to our family.
